Pastoral Care

Union Baptist Church Congregational Care

We strive for excellence in service and relationships. Union Baptist Church is intentional when providing opportunities to serve and mindful of needs to be served. We recognize and make room for the people of God to give and receive spiritual, physical and emotional support in all of their sorrows and joys.

We provide prayer, funeral and bereavement support, visitation, assistance, guidance, comfort, and spiritual support and many others services to our members and their families as well as the community in times of crisis and during significant life milestones.

Funerals (Deceased Notification Form)

“The Lord replied, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest”  (Exodus 33:14).
Of all life experiences, death is often the most painful and challenging that anyone can go through.  UBC is available to comfort, direct, and support you during this season of life.

Hospitalization and Convalescence (Notification Form)

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace  was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

From diagnosis to recuperation, we provide care through visitations. Due to COVID -19, or visitation are limited. However we can provide prayer and support.

Baby Dedications

“For this child, I prayed for…So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord” (1 Samuel 1:27-28).

Any parent who desires to have a child dedicated must complete our baby dedication form.  Child dedications are on the 3rd Sunday of each month or by schedule.you during this season of life.

Weddings (Wedding Application Form)

“That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24).

Marriage is a lifelong commitment and should not be entered into lightly.  Therefore all who desire to be married and request an ordained minister from Union Baptist Church Jamestown-High Point to officiate the wedding ceremony must complete 6  premarital counseling sessions.
